Advertised as a 7 mile hike, I think it was closer to 4 or 5 up to Ka'au crater rim. But it was rough enough to wear me out. I got sloppy near the end and was making mistakes. Fell backwards onto my backpack, and another time slipped into the water. Luckily I was with some vets who watched out for me.
The after photo. We got Thai food after this, some of us shoeless. You can be dirty and eat, or you can be a hippy and eat, just not both.
